“Truth be Told” is a work of fiction set in the Central Goldfields of Victoria and involves a major government conspiracy. A “secret” is discovered by a gold prospector that entangles friends and foes in a battle of wits and dangerous encounters that take place in cities, country areas and the Australian outback.
A highly secretive government intelligence agency is tasked with burying the secret, which, if unearthed, could transform the socio-political climate of a nation, not to mention its strategic position in the world!
“Truth be Told” also focuses upon important underlying messages connected to temporary Australia, such as the significance of modern journalism in the construction and maintenance of the nation state, gender politics, and the highly secretive role government agencies take in maintaining the status quo.
